TERMS & CONDITIONS

All tour reservations require full payment via a credit card.

The following credit cards are accepted: American Express, MasterCard, Visa, GE Money, Discover, JCB, Diners Club International, BAC San José and Banco Popular.

Your credit card will be charged for the full payment upon confirmation of your reservation request. By providing your credit card information and proceeding with your eco-tour reservation, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

RULES AND GUIDELINES: (click here to download)

1. Each participant MUST attend a short training session prior to riding a Segway PT.
2. Segway Costa Rica reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone who, in their opinion is incapable or unable to safely ride a Segway PT.
3. Minors under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult 18 or older.
4. Children under the age of 8 are NOT allowed to participate.
5. Pregnant women are NOT allowed to participate.
6. Each participant MUST have a signed release and waiver of liability (PDF 134k) before riding a Segway PT.
7. Riders under the age of 16 MUST have their parent/guardian sign the release and waiver (PDF 134k) for them.
8. Each participant MUST wear a helmet while riding a Segway PT.
9. Shirts and appropriate clothing MUST be worn at all times.
10. Possession or consumption of any intoxicating beverage or controlled substance is prohibited.
11. Smoking is prohibited while riding a Segway PT.
12. Use of Cell phones are prohibited while riding a Segway PT.
13. Segway Costa Rica, S.A. has the sole and exclusive discretion to stop the tour due to inclement weather or any other unsafe condition at any time.
14. Segway Costa Rica, S.A. reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
15. Inappropriate behavior and conduct will not be tolerated whether from ignorance or malice and will result in the immediate cancellation of their tour.
16. Anyone exhibiting reckless behavior or endangering patrons and/or spectators will result in the immediate cancellation of their tour.
17. Segway Costa Rica reserves the right to cancel any tour due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. A full refund will be available if Segway Costa Rica cancels the tour.
18.  A minimum of two participants is required to conduct a tour. Maximum participates for a tour is six.

Wavier: All guests are required to sign an acknowledgement of risk and Release of Liability (PDF 134k) prior to their tour. Safety is of the utmost importance to Segway Costa Rica, S.A. for all touring guests. As with any adventure sport, riding the Segway Personal Transporter can be dangerous. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Guests who fail to provide a signed Release of Liability (PDF 134k) and Orientation Checklist prior to tour departure will not be allowed to join the tour and our standard cancellation policy, as described above, will apply.

Rates and Booking Procedure: Prices are per person, unless otherwise specified. All Transactions are in US Dollars. All prices and availability are subject to change without notice. Tour prices or availability are NOT guaranteed until full payment is received and confirmation provided.

Reservations: Please book as far in advance as possible. We suggest you either email us at reservations@segwaycostarica.com or call us at 011-506-2446-3989 or fax us at 011-506-2232-7218. Our tours sell out quickly. To request a tour, book your reservations online.

Personal Property: Segway Costa Rica, S.A. is not responsible for lost or misplaced property. If you have property of value you wish not to lose please do not bring it. Do not leave your valuables in a car either.

Get Ready: All tours include a 20-minute Segway PT orientation with training required prior to any Segway PT rental. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled eco-tour. Late arrival may result in cancellation of your eco-tour.

As such we endeavor to follow our cancellation policies carefully, however we will always do our best to accommodate our clients' circumstances. Our policies are written as guideline and shall never take the place of common sense!
